By far the most important meeting of the year is our Label of the Year meeting. Normally held in October each year, this meeting is the culmination of our years efforts in raising money for the nominated charity. The meeting is always held at a brewery and our hosts nominate the charity for the year. (Please see LOTY page).

In addition to the normal meeting, a tour of the brewery is almost always included, together with a buffet and beer at £1 a pint, with the receipts going to the charity fund. Other important parts of the day are the raffle and auction of labels and other brewery related items.

The highlights of the day are the presentation of certificates to the winning breweries in the various categories of the Label of the Year competition and of course the presentation of the Society's cheque to our hosts on behalf of their nominated charity.

Spring Meeting

This meeting is normally held in early March and once again the venue is a brewery. As with other meetings it is an ideal opportunity for members to meet and buy, sell and exchange their labels in a convivial atmosphere, whilst enjoying a generous buffet and sampling the beer as the brewer intended it to be sampled. Brewery tours are normally available as with our other meetings.

Annual General Meeting

As a properly constituted Society, we are required to hold an Annual General Meeting once a year.
This meeting has for the last few years been held at a Public House in London in early June. This meeting allows the members to raise any issues they may have with their fellow members and the Committee, for discussion and if necessary for resulting motions to be voted on. In addition candidates for the various Committee posts are elected or re-elected at this meeting.
Each Committee member reports to the Meeting regarding the Society's activities within the area of their remit.
Of course once the required matters have been concluded, the meeting once again offers an opportunity for members to meet and buy, sell and exchange their labels.
