The Brewery Company was founded in 1874 when Thomas Phillips, who has previously been associated with the Northampton Brewery Co, bought the brewery of Thomas Lewis, in Dock Road, Newport. It was registered in 1892 and had a fairly uneventful existence until sold to H&G Simonds in 1949. Brewing continued for another 20 years, but apart from the cask label, which you can see HERE, there is little indication of what was brewed and under what name. It also appears that there was very little change in label design in all those years, unless anybody knows different.
