J P O’Brien was established in 1864 and were very strong in exports of both Guinness and Bass to Australia, New Zealand and the Far East. In the 20th century the company established a substantial home trade in and around Liverpool. The company joined Export Bottlers in 1937. They used a variety of brand names, many of which remained unregistered. Here is a rather scarce Ajax Brand Lager Beer, probably brewed by the Wrexham Lager Brewery.
