Rectangular labels allow a wider range of design options and this Christmas 1933 label from the Auto City Brewing Co in Detroit (where else?) hits the spot. Snow, holly, Christmas written in full dominate, but the company name, the car wheel and the federal permit number are fitted in beautifully. Sorry, not much scope for frivolity today.

Nice label, awaiting the music link with festive interest. Which motown number will it be.

Hopefully this will inspire a raft of even more frivolous ideas.
