A short visit to Sweden where we find this delightful image of the Mariestads Bavarian Brewery. This stone-built brewery dates from 1876 and was able to withstand the great fire of 1895. However the company was acquired by Spendrups in 1967 and closed by 1972.

Such a lovely label. I love the graphic design and layout.
Also note the Championship Metals illustrated at the bottom the label. The latest Society Newsletter has an 8 page feature article on Championship Beers and has over 28 beautiful colour illustrations of historic labels! Check it out!
