Unusual names for a Stout #7; Wappy

I know. Why would anyone want to name a Stout ‘Wappy’? I guess that John Ainley & Sons thought that since they brewed at the Wapping Spring Brewery in Huddersfield, ‘Wappy’ was a perfectly acceptable name for their Stout.

A strange name admittedly, but the spring that the brewery took its name from was also known as the Wappy Spring, in fact the nearby pub is called the Wappy Spring Inn.
