C. Vaux & Sons Ltd

Founded 1837 and moved by Cuthbert Vaux to the Castle Street Brewery in 1875. The company was registered as C Vaux & Sons Ltd in 1896. I believe the first 5 labels illustrated date from that period. In 1927, Vaux merged with North Eastern Breweries  to form Associated Breweries. The style Vaux & Co became more widely used. The two IPA labels use both styles.. From the 1930s onwards the style seems to be exclusively Vaux & Co as the major partner in the merged company. In the 1950s and 60s we just seem to get Vaux. Are there any more colours for the Sweet Strong Stout? Are there a set of matching stopper labels?
