Both brewed in the Chelmsford district and I think Ridleys may have contract brewed for Cooks when they moved out of brewing but kept their estate.

That seems logical. If Ridleys were contract brewing for Cooks it would make sense to use a similar design for the labels.I wonder if there any other examples of similar designs from the two companies.
